Social

I’ve never been comfortable with large groups of people. I turned to playing the guitar as a kind of social lubricant. It was both a conduit and armor between me and the world. Mostly, it gave me an identity and allowed me to fit in.

Later in life, when my job required me to give presentations to large groups, my stage fright was barely manageable. Afterwards, I’d go home with a migraine and skip the socializing.

Today, I keep it as close to one-on-one as possible. That’s where social media comes in. This is my chance to talk to you as a friend, and avoid the stage fright.
